Simple Syrup 101

They don’t call it SIMPLE syrup for nothing! Seriously, this recipe can be the base of so many yummy additions— from giving your morning coffee a kick, sweetening up prosecco or champagne, the key ingredient to a cocktail recipe, or the sugary syrup for your hot or cold tea.

Simple Syrup Recipe
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Pour water into sauce pan and bring to boil. Add in sugar and stir until dissolved, reducing heat as needed. Remove from heat and allow to cool before pouring into a mason jar or decorative container. Store in fridge for up to one month while using.

This recipe can also be the base for additions such as lavender essential oil, peppermint oil, cranberries, raspberries, and other fruits that can be carried into food/beverages through the sugary syrup.
